1. Initial Consultation & Menu Planning
During the initial consultation we will go over any questions you may
have about the service that From Sarah’s Shelves provides. There is no
charge for this consultation.
We will discuss your family’s health concerns, if any, including allergies
and dietary requirements.
You will be given a chance to review the menu and ask questions about,
or request changes to, any meal listed. You will also be given the
opportunity to request personal favorites that may not be listed.
Should you wish to do so, we will book a cook-date, usually within a
week's time of the consultation, and then we will finalize your menu
selections for that date.
For a cook-date providing you with 4 to 6 weeks worth of food, which
generally runs about 5 hours (9:30am 2:30pm) at a cost of $195, you will
be given the choice of between 7 and 8 menu items. Depending on the
size of your family, and therefore how large the servings are, you will
generally receive between 4 and 6 packaged meals of each of the 7 menu
items you have chosen.
Also now available is service every week, or every two weeks, which
generally runs about 5 hours (9:30am 2:30pm) at a cost of $145. You will
be given the choice of 5 menu items. Depending on the size of your
family, and therefore how large the servings are, you will generally
receive between 1 and 3 packaged meals of each of the 5 menu items you
have chosen.
2. Grocery List
After the initial consultation wherein we have decided on your menu, a
grocery list will be prepared and emailed to you for approval.
This takes care of the possibility of 'doubling up' on your grocery bill. If
you have a bag of flour for example, cross that off the list. If you just
bought a bunch of fresh vegetables, we can use what you have.
This also helps to give you a better understanding of what is in the food
you will be consuming, and provides you with another opportunity to
ask questions you may not have thought of initially.
3. Grocery Shopping
From Sarah’s Shelves does offer the service of grocery shopping, at a
cost of $25. It is however entirely up to you whether you wish to do the
shopping yourself.
Should you wish to have From Sarah’s Shelves do the shopping for you,
all groceries and storage containers will be billed back to you at cost.
4. Cook-Date
On the scheduled cook-date, From Sarah’s Shelves will arrive with all
of the equipment required. All you need is a functioning oven / stove,
and a clean kitchen.
From Sarah’s Shelves also provides all of the spices required, so that
you do not have to incur the cost of something that you may not
otherwise use.
Everything is prepared in your home, packaged, and put into your
freezer. The mess is cleaned up, and you are left with all of the benefits
of home-made meals, without the fussy work!
